DTE begins Farmington Tree Trimming Program
Residents may see DTE Energy work crews in their neighborhood assessing trees that may be too close to power lines.
According to DTE Energy, a letter will be sent to residents before trimming begins in that respective neighborhood. Residents whose trees are targeted to be trimmed will receive a door hanger describing the trimming; the tree will be marked with a white dot at the base of the tree. If the tree is planned for removal, the tree will be marked with a white X and the resident will be asked to sign a tree removal permit. This DTE process can be found at: dteenergy.com/treecare.
