
The Farmington Friends of the Library, the and the will host another free performance at tonight, with Double Play Flute and Tuba.
Amy Ridings, flutist, and Patrick Sciannella, tubaist, create their own unique arrangements of many classical standards as well as presenting the occasional, actual flute and tuba composition. As part of their mission to inform as well as to entertain, demonstrations on a Baroque flute and hose-horn are integral to their family-friendly program. Their performance of “Bach to Broadway” is accompanied by a variety of humorous and historical anecdotes.
Family Fun in Riley Park performances at the Walter E. Sundquist Pavilion take place on select Wednesdays in July and August at 7 p.m. Additional parking is available south of T.J. Maxx, east of Dress Barn and north of First United Methodist Church, across Grand River Avenue from Riley Park.
