Easter Cantata - "Come Walk with Me" by Pepper Choplin

Come Walk with Me is a BRAND NEW cantata written for church choirs and released just a few weeks ago.    This performance on Palm Sunday is a great way to begin Holy Week as we remember the death of Christ and celebrate HIS resurrection.

Some notes from www.musicmart.com about the piece:

"This work was born from Choplin's earnest desire to create truly soul-stirring music for these most sacred moments in history. His vision was realized in this remarkably fresh and dramatic setting of the Passion story in which a narrator leads us from scene to scene, retracing Christ's path during His last days in human form. Five brief off-stage monologues from those witnessing or participating in Christ's final steps on earth enhance the stark reality of each scene with their observations, their frustrations, and their fears. The music supplies the drama and passion through its incredible mix of styles that range from classical to Appalachian, bluegrass, and Celtic folk idioms. "
