Suburban Ice Farmington Hills invites children of all ages who have never tried the sport of hockey before to a FREE Have Fun, Play Hockey Clinic on July 28. Kids will get the chance experience the game for the first time and learn the basics of the sport in a fun, safe environment. Participants will be provided all the necessary hockey equipment for the event. In addition, on-ice instructors will be present to teach kids how to get dressed, stand on skates, hold a stick and skate around. On Aug. 4, Customer Appreciation Day will include loads of free things for families and friends to stop in and enjoy.

- FREE Men’s Drop-In Hockey from 10:00am-11:00am (ages 18 & up - must pre-register)
- FREE Women’s Drop-In Hockey from 11:00am-12:00pm (ages 18 & up - must pre-register)
- FREE Sticks & Pucks from 12:00pm-1:00pm and 1:00pm-2:00pm (All Ages - must pre-register)
- FREE Open Skate from 2:00pm-3:00pm (All Ages)
Everyone’s favorite mascots, Snowplow Sam (the figure skating bear) and hockey-loving Suburban Steve will also be in attendance for kids to take pictures with. And if you work up an appetite, help yourself to FREE hot dogs, popcorn and fountain drinks at the concessions stand.
Weather permitting - the fun will carry over outside the ice rink as well with street hockey, shooting accuracy stations and a face painting booth. We will have also have information available on our upcoming Learn to Skate sessions and all of our fall programming; along with special raffle prizes and drawings throughout the day.
