Join the Friends of the I-275 Metro Trail for a trail work day on Monday night, August 13 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The vegetation has really grown out of control, so we’ll be trimming the trees, vines and weeds on the Farmington Hills section of trail just south of 9 Mile. Bring clippers, pruners, loppers, scythes/sickles, rakes, brooms and anything else that would be helpful for trimming the brush. Make sure to wear protective eye wear, work gloves, long pants and a long-sleeved shirt; poison ivy is always a concern. Water and light snacks will be provided. Parking is available at Sumitomo on 9 Mile east of Haggerty.
