Farmington Beautification Award Nominations Now Being Accepted For 2021 Award

The city of Farmington is accepting 2021 Beautification Award nominations.

Beautification Award nominations now being accepted for 2021 Award

Hello City of Farmington Gardeners!

The Farmington Beautification Committee usually is out and about in July touring the 6 precincts of the City looking for some front yard winners for its annual Beautification Awards. Due to COVID, hot weather and some other challenges, it was decided to postpone the Awards until Summer 2021.

BUT….in the meantime, we want to make sure we recognize some of the beautiful gardens that have been created by residents during this extended stay-at-home time, and we will put them on file for consideration next year when formal awards are presented. Things the Committee looks for are:

  • Eye-catching from the curb (front yard gardens only)
  • A variety of appropriate plantings (i.e. shade/sun/partial shade)
  • Uniqueness….and inclusion, if any, of special hardscapes (brickwork, rocks, arbors, etc)

Please e-mail, message or drop off a photo of your front yard garden, along with your name, location and contact information, by the end of July to Melissa Andrade in the Farmington City Manager’s Office @ mandrade@farmgov.com

Thanks for all everyone is doing to KEEP FARMINGTON BEAUTIFUL!

The Beautification Committee is still looking for another member. If you're interested, contact Melissa.
