β€œIt doesn’t take much time. It’s easy to learn, and there are so many options," she said, noting that Kitchen Creations has thousands of molds, a knowledgeable staff, and a large variety of chocolate coatings and fillings.

All you need is a bag of chocolate coatings, a bowl, a microwave, a spoon, and a candy mold. Melt the chocolate in short spurts in the microwave, stirring it every 30 seconds until it’s melted. Melting it slowly will help you avoid overheating the chocolate. Then, using the spoon, fill each cavity in the mold with the melted chocolate. Put the mold in the freezer for five to ten minutes, and then pop the candy out of the mold.

Kitchen Creations carries a variety of fancy bags and boxes to beautify your gift. The store even sells stickers that say β€œHomemade Candies,” so you can be sure your mom will notice the personal nature of your gift.

β€œMoms appreciate when you actually do stuff for them as opposed to just going out and buying something,” Prew said, and a gift of homemade chocolates would make any mother β€œfeel special.” And think how proud she will be when she discovers you’ve given her a gift from your heart, that didn’t cost a fortune.
