Farmington Hills' Newest Police Officer Takes Oath

Officer Victoria Ward is assigned to the Patrol Division.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI – The city’s newest police officer, Victoria Ward, took the oath of office during a swearing-in ceremony at the Farmington Hills Police Department Monday, Dec. 14.

Ward, who has an associate’s degree in law enforcement from Grand Rapids Community College, previously worked as a security supervisor at Gerald Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids and completed 90 hours of internship with the city of Wyoming Police Department.

She graduated from the Grand Rapids Community College Police Academy in November 2015, where she was promoted to squad leader and was described as hardworking, dedicated and honest.

“Officer Ward is highly motivated and will be a great asset to the department,” Chief Chuck Nebus said in a statement.

Ward will be assigned to uniform patrol duties in the Patrol Division of the Police Department’s Operations Bureau.
