Farmington Hills Officer Cited by MADD

Farmington Hills Police Department three-year veteran Officer Jeff Moeller has been awarded the MADD 2013 Outstanding Officer Award. He received the award on August 12, 2014 at the Annual Life Savers Award Luncheon at the San Marino Club in Troy.

Officer Moeller is one of 72 police officers in the state to receive the award. His outstanding efforts in drunk driving enforcement resulted in 23 drunk driving arrests in 2013. Before coming to the Farmington Hills Police Department, Officer Moeller received the MADD award while he was a police officer in Belleville, Michigan.

The Farmington Hills Police Department made 208 drunk driving arrests in 2013 and has noted a significant decline in traffic crashes and drunk driving arrests in recent years. Chief Charles Nebus attributes the efforts of Officer Moeller and the other dedicated officers of the Police Department for the increased traffic safety in Farmington Hills.
