Farmington Library Recognizes Public Safety Officials

During the event, "Operation Goody Bag' library staff and local children presented goody bags to public officials to show appreciation.

From The Farmington Community Library: The downtown branch of the Farmington Community Library recognized public safety officials from Farmington and Farmington Hills on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on Monday, January 9.

During the event, known as “Operation Goody Bag,” library staff and local children decorated gifts bags and filled them with a variety of snacks and treats. The “Goody Bags” were later presented to public safety officials at the Farmington Hills Police Department, the Farmington Public Safety Department, and the Farmington Hills Fire Department.

Public safety officials from the three departments were present while the children worked on coloring and filling the bags. The event was a great opportunity for local children to interact with public safety officers and show appreciation for their work in the community. The officers were equally appreciative of the recognition from the children and the Farmington Community Library staff.
