Great Summer Activity for Kids: Safety Town Camp

The city of Farmington Hills is sponsoring the program that teaches preschoolers important safety tips.

Are you the parent of a preschool child? Then you know it’s never too early to teach kids how to stay safe in a whole range of situations.

The City of Farmington Hills is offering Safety Town, a safety education program aimed at preschoolers ages four to six. Children will learn about everyday safety including pedestrian, motorist, bus, bicycle, fire, water, playground, stranger safety, and more.

Safety Town gets important messages across through songs, crafts and movies, plus special visits from the Farmington Hills Police and a bus trip to the Farmington Hills Fire Department.

Safety Town takes place at Farmington Community School at 30415 Shiawassee, just east of Orchard Lake. The fee is $120/residents and $130/non-residents. Children will need to bring a lunch and a drink. The following dates and times are available:

Half Day Safety Town

July 6 – 10: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

July 13 – 17: 9 a.m. -1 p.m.

July 20 – 24: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Special Program - Safety Town 2: For Safety Town 1 graduates and/or 6 and 7-year-olds:

July 27-31: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
