Hats On at East to Support Classmate with Cancer
Two fundraisers are planned to support family of East Middle School student recently diagnosed with cancer.
FARMINGTON, MI – East Middle School students can wear a hat in school on Wednesday, Jan. 13, but they’ll have to pay a buck to do it, Farmington Public Schools said in a news release.
The money collected for the privilege will be donated to the family of Emma Ostrowski, a seventh grader who was recently diagnosed with cancer. Teachers will collect donations Wednesday morning.
Another fundraiser is planned in conjunction with Buffalo Wild Wings, 37651 Six Mile Road, in Livonia. Students may present fliers, available at the East Middle School office, and receive a 20 percent discount on dine-in or carry-out meals.
