Michigan Elite 25 Coaches Academy

The Michigan Elite 25 Coaches Academy is open to coaches from all age levels and parents of young basketball players who want to learn basketball fundamentals and parenting and coaching tactics from the best Division I head basketball coaches in the State of Michigan.  Presenting at the Coaches Clinic are Tom Izzo (Michigan State University, Head Basketball Coach), John Beilein (University of Michigan, Head Basketball Coach), Keno Davis (Central Michigan University, Head Basketball Coach), Steve Hawkins (Western Michigan University, Head Basketball Coach), Greg Kampe (Oakland University, Head Basketball Coach), and event host Ray McCallum (University of Detroit-Mercy, Head Basketball Coach). The event will take place on Tuesday, August 13 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the University of Detroit-Mercy’s Calihan Hall.

The Michigan Elite 25 Coaches Academy is free to all participants (prospective student athletes cannot attend the Coaches Academy due to recruiting guidelines).  The program was founded by Tim McCormick (former NBA player) and Michael Dietz (sports management executive).  The program sponsors include Quicken Loans, Lear Corporation, United Auto Workers, Comcast Internet Essentials, Under Armour, and Meijer.
