Navy Veteran Joins Farmington Hills Police Department
Police Chief Charles Nebus also announced several promotions.

Farmington Hills Police Chief Charles Nebus has announced several recent promotions within the department, as well as the hiring of a new police officer.

Officer Gregory Evans was hired as a police officer assigned to the patrol division of the Operations Bureau. Evans is a four-year veteran of the United States Navy where he was a student pilot, student naval flight officer, and a student control officer.
The promotions and swearing in of the new officer were celebrated at a ceremony held July 20.

Commander David Stasch was promoted to the rank of Assistant Chief of the Administrative Bureau. He is a 31-year veteran of the Department, and has served as an officer in patrol, traffic, and the crime suppression unit; a detective in investigations; a sergeant in patrol and investigations; a lieutenant in investigations; and a commander in investigations and administration.
Commander Matt Koehn was promoted to the rank of Assistant Chief of the Operations Bureau. Koehn is a 29-year veteran of the Department, and has served as a police cadet, an officer in patrol and the crime suppression unit; a detective in investigations; a sergeant and lieutenant in patrol and administration; and a commander in administration and investigations.
Lieutenant Alan Patterson was promoted to the rank of Commander in the Administrative Bureau. Patterson is a 27-year veteran of the Department, and has served as a police cadet, an officer in patrol, a detective in investigations; a sergeant in patrol and the communications section; and a lieutenant in administration.
Sergeant Bonnie Unruh was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in the Operations Bureau. Unruh is a 26-year veteran of the Department, and has served as a police cadet, an officer in patrol, a crime prevention officer, a detective in investigations; and a sergeant in patrol and investigations.
Officer Marc Haro was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in the Operations Bureau. Haro is a 19-year veteran of the Department, and has served as an officer in patrol, and a detective in the South Oakland Narcotics Intelligence Consortium (S.O.N.I.C.) and investigations.
