No Farmington Hills Garbage Pickup on 4th of July
All pickups will be delayed by one day during that entire week.

Farmington Hills, MI – Garbage will not be collected on Monday, July 4 due to the Independence Day holiday.
All pickups will be delayed by one day during that entire week with Friday’s collection made on Saturday, according to a news release.
To ensure pickup, have your garbage at the curbside by 7 a.m.

Place your recycling cart at least three feet apart from other garbage cans, mailboxes, parked cars, and trees. This allows drivers to use the efficient automated lift device, rather than exiting the truck to manually pick up the recycling cart.

No trash is allowed in the recycling bins, only recyclable items that are listed on the cart lid. Trash slows down the process at the recycling facility and affects the quality of the recyclable materials.
No plastic bags or styrofoam containers are allowed in the recycling bins.
There are six holidays during the year when garbage collection is not scheduled, including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
