She told lottery officials she has been playing the same set of Lotto 47 numbers for years.

SOUTHFIELD, MI — An Oakland County woman is looking forward to relaxing and enjoying life after hitting the Lotto 47 jackpot for $1.2 million, according to Michigan Lottery officials.

The 69-year-old woman, who chose to remain anonymous, bought the ticket at Cloverleaf BP located at 28995 Telegraph Road in Southfield.

"I’ve been playing the same set of Lotto 47 numbers for years, so when I checked the winning numbers after the drawing, I recognized them right away," she told the Michigan Lottery. "I woke my husband up and said: ‘I think I just won the lottery.’ We got my ticket and looked it over and that’s when I knew I really had just won the lottery!"

The woman chose to receive a one-time lump sum payment of about $832,000 instead of annuity payments for the full amount.
