October 2014 GATE’s function at the library this Sunday is more than an introduction to a book, its writer or to the group of distinguished physicians gathered for the event.
In a larger sense it echoes the purpose of Dr Aisha Abbasi’s book to help us understand our own and others minds better… to become more aware o f the why of feelings , actions and behaviors.
An awareness of what makes us all tick and how to keep on ticking at our best is what psychiatrist, psychoanalysts and other healers can help us with.
All in keeping with GATE’s fundamental idea- creating awareness to help us all lead better lives.
