Police Seek Tips In Farmington Hills Hookah Lounge​ Shooting

Officers said two people were shot and injured Saturday inside the lounge at 32617 Northwestern Highway​ in Farmington Hills.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — Two people were injured Saturday in a Farmington Hills shooting at a hookah lounge, Farmington Hills Police said.

Officers said a man physically assaulted and shot the two people at 2:10 a.m. inside the lounge at 32617 Northwestern Highway, after he was given a gun from another person inside the lounge.

The two victims were taken to a local hospital and no other injuries were reported from the shooting, officials said.

Police described the shooter as a medium complected black male, approximately 5-feet, 10-inches to 6-foot, athletic build, with shoulder length dread locks and a beard with mustache. The man that provided the gun was described as a medium complected black male, approximately 5-feet, 10-inches to 6-foot, athletic build, with a medium length twist out hair style.

"This is an active investigation, with detectives continuously developing and receiving new information," Farmington Hills Police Chief Jeff King said. "Investigators believe this is a targeted incident, finding no evidence of a threat to the general public. Patrols have been increased at this location."
