Police: Woman Abducted at Apartment Door

Two men allegedly abducted a Farmington Hills woman, assaulted her and stole her car late Wednesday night.

A Farmington Hills woman is in stable condition at a local hospital after she escaped two men who allegedly abducted and assaulted her before stealing her car, police said.

The incident occurred about 11 p.m. Wednesday at Fairmont Park Apartments, located near Nine Mile and Drake, as the woman was entering the building, The Detroit News reports.

It’s unclear how she managed to escape or if the woman knew her attackers. The suspects fled in her 2010 Honda Crosstour with Michigan license plate No. 2KVF42.

Police received a tip about the vehicle from a resident who had seen media reports about the alleged kidnapping, and at 4 p.m. took two individuals into custody.

The vehicle was spotted in the Drake and 11 Mile Road area of Farmington Hills. Police stopped the vehicle and the suspects fled. They were apprehended after a short foot chase, police said.
