βOur anniversary, like our daily mission, is a celebration of men,β Elkus said. βIn 30 years of providing fashion to the men of metro Detroit, The Shirt Box has always supported the surrounding community.β
βWe know there is a need for donations of menβs dress clothes to help those seeking re-entry into the workforce,β he added. βOur customersβ generosity enabled us to open a store within NSO, The Gentlemenβs Clothing Closet, where men can get back on their feet in style. There are so many barriers to getting back on track β clothing shouldnβt be the obstacle to getting beneficial employment.β
The Shirt Box is a permanent drop-off for NSOβs Gentlemenβs Clothing Closet. The one-for-one item discount is only available May 12-14, 2011.
