Son Attacks Father With Hatchet In Oakland County: Reports
The son, 22, was arrested in connection to the assault after troopers found a bloody hatchet inside a vehicle he was driving, police said.
SOUTHFIELD, MI — A man was arrested after police said he attacked his father with a small hatchet at a Southfield home Monday night, according to reports, citing police.
Officers found the 51-year-old father bleeding profusely from severe lacerations on his face and upper body at 10:45 p.m. at a home on the 25000 block of Orchard Grove, police said.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

Troopers stopped a suspected vehicle on Grand River Avenue near Grand Boulevard in Detroit roughly 40 minutes later, police said.
Troopers found the man's 22-year-old son driving the vehicle and arrested him without incident in connection to the assault, police said. Officials said officers also found a bloody hatchet inside the vehicle.
