Start Raking; Yard Waste Pickup Schedule Announced
If yard waste hasn't been collected by Dec. 7, it will have to be stored until spring under the city's refuse contract and Michigan law.
You’ve still got a few weeks left to rake leaves before yard waste pickup ends in the city of Farmington Hills.
Yard waste pickup will end this year in Farmington Hills on residents’ regularly scheduled pickup day during the week of Nov. 30 - Dec. 4, the week following the Thanksgiving holiday.
Starting Dec. 7, yard waste cannot be picked up under the city’s refuse contract and Michigan laws governing yard waste disposal. Any accumulated yard waste should be stored until spring pickup resumes in April 2016.
