Big Family of Michigan is a nonprofit organization serving the needs of foster children in Michigan. One of their programs ensures that children are given the necessary school supplies to be successful in their studies. Over 2,900 children received school supplies for the 2013 school year, many of them in Macomb County.
For the second year, seven Walgreens locations, in Clinton Township, Shelby Township and Fraser, will collect school supplies to support this important Big Family of Michigan program. More information on the many programs of Big Family of Michigan may be found on their Facebook page.
Residents are asked to donate new school supplies for children of all ages at Walgreens stores.
