Watermain Shutdown In Farmington

The water main on Grand River in front of the World Wide Center will be shut down for a short period of time Tuesday.

Grand River Watermain Shutdown 11/3/2020

On Tuesday, November 3, 2020 the water main on Grand River in front of the World Wide Center will be shut down for a short period of time in the morning in order to complete the disconnection of an abandoned water service. If you are receiving this notice you will experience a short water outage due to this shut down. The contractor, Advanced Underground & Grading, will be completing this work as part of the construction for the proposed building in the northeast portion of the existing parking lot.

If your water is out for more than a couple hours, or not back on by 1:00 p.m. the day of this shutdown please contact the contractor or the engineering firm at the number listed below.

There is a possibility that some sediment may be stirred up during the disconnection process or when the water is turned back on. If your water is cloudy or there is sediment, you may need to flush the water from your water suppy by flowing the cold water at a tub. You may also need to clean your aerators (screens) at sink faucets, If the problem persists, please contact the engineering firm at the number below so the problem can be assessed.
