Woman Dies After Getting Hit By Car In Oakland County: Police

SOUTHFIELD, MI — A woman died after she was hit by a car in Oakland County on Thursday night, according to police.

The crash happened in the area of Greenfield Road and Foster Winter Drive, near 9 Mile Road in Southfield, police said.

Police said the 29-year-old Detroit woman was crossing Greenfield Road outside the crosswalk when she was struck by the car. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she died, police said.

The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

Police were still investigating.
