Woman Hit By SUV, Killed In Bloomfield Twp. Parking Lot: Police

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — A woman was killed Sunday afternoon in a Bloomfield Township parking lot after getting struck by a SUV, Bloomfield Township police said.

Officials said an 83-year-old man driving a Lincoln MKC hit the woman at 1:20 p.m while she was walking in the Nino Salvaggio parking lot on Telegraph Road.

The 50-year-old woman was immediately transported to a local hospital where she died, police said.

Officers do not believe speed and alcohol contributed to the crash, while the incident remains under investigation, officials said.
