You Must Do This Monday to Vote in Nov. 3 Election
If you plan to vote in the Nov. 3 election, you have to take care of this detail right away.

If you haven’t already, there’s one task you need to take care of if you plan to vote in the Nov. 3 election: Register to vote.
The deadline to register is 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5.

Voters may be register by mail or in person at their county, city or township clerk’s office, or by visiting any Secretary of State office by 4 p.m.. Get the mail-in form here, but make sure it’s postmarked by 4 p.m.
First-time voters who register by mail must vote in person in their first election, unless they hand-deliver the application to their local clerk, are 60 years old or older, are disabled or are eligible to vote under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act.

Voters must be 18 years old by Nov. 3, and must be u.S. citizens. Applicants also must be residents of Michigan and the city or township for which they wish to register.
