Kindermusik, LEGO's, Robotics and more! Starting 1/11!

Looking for a way to keep your child active and engaged in these winter months? Stop by the Farmington Y (28100 Farmington Rd, Farmington Hills) and learn more about our youth programs starting January 17th! See below for more information about our Kindermusik, LEGO’s, and Robotics programs:
LEGO® Challenge - For Students 1st - 5th Grade
Wednesdays: 6:00-7:15pm **Starting 1/14
Saturdays: 1:00-2:15pm **Starting 1/17
LEGO Challenge integrates the fun of LEGO® with scientific and mathematical principles in a FUN and EXCITING way! Each lesson will include building, enhancing and playing with a custom, moving LEGO® model.

Kindermusik - Laugh and Learn: Preschool Class. Ages 3-4.
Each week in class we combine your preschooler’s natural love of music, storytelling, and imaginative play with ages-appropriate activities that introduce early music concepts and foster independence, social and emotional skills, language growth, and self-control. Parents come for final activities in the Laugh and Learn class. Parents are more than welcome to enjoy a work-out at the YMCA while their child is experiencing music!.

Thursdays 10:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.; Mondays 6:30 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.
Kindermusik: Wiggle and Grow: Baby/Toddler Ages 0-2 and their caregiver. This music-filled class celebrates the unique joys of your child. Each week your child will love singing, dancing, and playing instruments with you and their new friends. You will love helping your child practice a wide variety of abilities such as gross, and fine motor skills, turn-taking, social skills, and active listening.
Thursdays 11:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.; Mondays 5:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.
Big Builders (Ages 4-6yrs)
Saturdays 2:30-3:15pm ** Starting 1/17
Participants will build and manipulate various models with K’nex kits to explore day to day physics, space, nature and transportation. A great opportunity to keep kids learning over AND having fun at the same time!
Robotics
Saturdays: 1:15pm-2:45pm
Learn to build and program robots in an interactive & fun way! Students will use creative problem solving skills while they explore STEAM principles.
