Rockabilly Legend Robert Gordon featuring Chris Spedding with The Reckless Ones

The first major rockabilly artist to emerge after the death of Elvis Presley, Robert Gordon became the hard-edged antidote to nostalgia- based oldies acts such as Flash Cadillac and the Continental Kids and Sha Na Na. Robert’s early recordings embraced 1960s garage rock, rockabilly noir, screaming R&B, and country heartache. Gordon has also shown a knack for building his recordings around some of the finest guitarists of his era, including Link Wray, Chris Spedding, Danny Gatton, Duke Robillard and Eddie Angel.

He continues to tour and make recordings to this day. Jerry Lee Lewis said of him "Robert Gordon is the real deal.” In 2007 after years of not working together Gordon and Chris Spedding released an album of 15 Elvis Presley songs with the Jordanaires for the 30th anniversary of Elvis' death. Robert and Chris have been touring together on and off since then.

Chris Spedding has had a long career on two continents that saw him tackle nearly every style of rock & roll. Chris has played on hundreds of recordings with a diverse client list including artists such as Elton John, Paul McCartney, Roxy Music, Robert Gordon, John Cale, Brian Eno, Jane Birkin, The Pretenders, Tom Waits, The Cramps and The Vibrators. Chris is known as one of the first guitarists Mick Jagger approached to replace Mick Taylor in the Rolling Stones. Chris is also the first producer to record The Sex Pistols. In addition to performing with Robert Gordon, Chris is also the guitarist in Roxy Music and War Of The Worlds.
