An autopsy has been conducted to determine the cause of death of a 21-year-old Southfield woman who was found unresponsive in her vehicle at 2:49 a.m. Sunday in Royal Oak.
Royal Oak police said in a statement that the victim, Brittany Jones, was breathing, but was unresponsive, when police arrived at the municipal lot at 100 S. Main St. after receiving a 911 call.
The person who placed the 911 call said Jones was slumped over in the driver’s seat of a black Ford Mustang. The car was locked, and when officers were unable to arouse her by knocking on the window, they forced their way into the vehicle.
