Vandals Cut Wires to 54 Ferndale Water Meters

Prank or plot? Ferndale police looking for leads in tampering of 54 meters.

FERNDALE, MI — Ferndale police need your help in solving a mystery: Who's been vandalizing water meters? Police say wires have been cut on 54 radio devices that read meters for the city’s water department, The Daily Tribune reports. The vandalism to devices mounted on the exterior walls of water customers’ houses or buildings and occurred in "pockets throughout the city" from Sept. 18-Oct 3. Ferndale Police Lt. William Wilson. Anyone with information is asked to call Ferndale police at 248-541-3650 or Crime Stoppers at 800-773-2587.
