• Michigan public safety revenue sharing payments reach local governments (ourmidland.com) — Fremont is set to receive $8,513 in new state public safety revenue sharing, money that must largely support law enforcement and related services. The program, funded partly by marijuana and fuel tax changes, sends millions statewide to help local governments cover police, fire, EMS, recruitment, training, and equipment needs, with nearby Newaygo County communities also getting allocations.
