• More money for new moms as cash assistance program expands in Kalamazoo County (fox17online.com) — Families in the city of Galesburg are now eligible for the RX Kids cash assistance program, which offers $1,500 during pregnancy and $500 a month for a baby’s first year. The expansion also includes Oshtemo Township, Wakeshma Township, and Kalamazoo, with no income limits as long as families live in participating communities. Local childcare providers expect the added support to ease financial stress and improve stability.
