The meet highlighted strong regional competition from Escanaba, Marquette, Kingsford, and Menominee, giving Gladstone golfers a clear benchmark as they push toward the postseason.

• 15 officers complete Drug Recognition Expert School (dailypress.net) — Gladstone-area drivers may see more highly trained officers on the roads after a Michigan State Police trooper from the Gladstone Post was among 15 officers statewide certified as Drug Recognition Experts. The intensive program prepares officers to better spot and assess drug-impaired driving, expanding Michigan’s network of specialists to 142 and supporting safer highways across the Upper Peninsula and the state.
