Genesee County senior centers offer free Lunch and Learn workshops on probate planning (midmichigannow.com) — Grand Blanc residents can attend a free Lunch and Learn on probate planning at the Grand Blanc Senior Center on July 22 at noon, part of a countywide series. An estate-planning attorney will explain how probate works, ways to potentially avoid it, and resources available to help families handle serious illness or death. The workshop is open to all and includes lunch.

Reigning champion Stewart Cink to go for three wins in a row at The Ally Challenge (midmichigannow.com) — Grand Blanc’s Warwick Hills will again host The Ally Challenge Aug. 24–30, with Stewart Cink aiming for a third straight title and several special military and first-responder appreciation events. Local fans can buy tickets starting at $15, while active-duty military, veterans, and now law enforcement and Fire/EMS receive complimentary access on select days. Folds of Honor Friday will feature a patriotic ceremony, breakfast event, and evening concert.

3. State Bar announces results of 2026 election (legalnews.com) — Grand Blanc is represented in the State Bar of Michigan’s leadership as attorney Marc D. Morse of Grand Blanc is elected to the Representative Assembly for Genesee County’s 7th Circuit. The article outlines new and returning members of the Board of Commissioners and Young Lawyers Section across Michigan. These appointments shape how the bar governs the legal profession statewide.

4. Powerball winning numbers for July 13, 2026. How much is at stake now (lansingstatejournal.com) — Grand Blanc briefly takes the spotlight as the site of Michigan’s largest-ever Powerball win, a $842.4 million ticket sold at Food Castle in January 2024. The latest drawing on July 13 produced no jackpot winner, pushing Wednesday’s prize close to $500 million. Michigan players can buy tickets in-store or online until 9:45 p.m. on draw nights.
