• Top 30 ArtPrize works revealed during 'Halftime' event at John Ball Zoo (mlive.com) — ArtPrize has named its current top 30 works during a special Halftime event at John Ball Zoo, but every entry across Grand Rapids is still in the running. You can keep exploring more than 1,000 pieces at 159 venues and vote through Oct. 2, then attend the free Oct. 3 awards night and record-setting fashion show at Acrisure Amphitheater.
   

• Calvin University debuts new football stadium with record-setting win over Olivet (mlive.com) — Calvin University christened its first on-campus football stadium in Grand Rapids with a packed-house, record-setting 66–20 win over Olivet. After two seasons borrowing other fields, the Knights finally have a true home, where a growing list of local players and fans are helping build new game-day traditions before the next home matchup on Oct. 17.
