94 Percent Club Reinforces Importance of School Attendance
As the new school year approaches, Nexus Academy of Royal Oak is introducing the 94 Percent Club as an incentive

As the new school year approaches, Nexus Academy of Royal Oak, a tuition-free, public “blended” learning school for students in grades 9-12, is introducing the 94 Percent Club as an incentive for students to strive for near perfect attendance for their on-site and virtual classes.
The program is being introduced to promote the importance of attendance for students. Research suggests that students who attend and participate in the classroom, traditional or virtual, 94 percent of the time or more tend to be most successful.
In order to become a member of the club, students must have 94 percent attendance for both their onsite classes and virtual classes. To reward these students, the school will allow members to take time on Fridays to watch a movie together as well as being treated to a trip to Cedar Point to build school pride and relationships with one another. Based on an up-to-date average, students can be added to the group any time during the academic year.
