Ascension St. John Hospital Offers Heartbeat Check Up

Get a better understanding of your heart health

An irregular heartbeat can lead to serious concerns if not properly diagnosed and treated. Many patients say they feel heart palpitations or a quivering heartbeat. This can be caused by several things, like high blood pressure or even sleep apnea.

With that in mind, Ascension St. John Hospital is offering a special “Heartbeat Check-up” that’s designed to help doctors understand you and your heart.

The Heartbeat Check-Up is a focused cardiac consultation by a board-certified cardiologist as well as a focused conversation with you about your health. It’s this back and forth, and questions and answers that leads to a better understanding of your individual situation - so our experts can deliver the care that is best for you personally.

“The Heartbeat Check-Up is an opportunity for our cardiac experts to provide an in-depth evaluation of your heart health and work with you to determine the most appropriate next steps," according to Dr. Thomas Lalonde, cardiologist at Ascension St. John Hospital. "It is an opportunity for you to discuss your current health situation and your symptoms. The cardiologist will evaluate your medical history and perform a physical examination and recommend any possible tests."
