Grosse Pointe Farms Interior Designer Dies of Stab Wounds
The suspect, David Scott Corzilius, 49, of Warren, is being held on $1 million bond.
(Posted April 27, 2016) GROSSE POINTE FARMS, MI – The sought-after nationally interior designer found bleeding from stab wounds on the sidewalk of his Grosse Pointe Farms home last month, has died from his injuries, police said.
“Mr. Daniel Clancy has passed away as a result of injuries he sustained in the attack,” Grosse Pointe Farms police said in a statement Wednesday.
A Warren handyman, David Scott Corzilius, 49, is being held on $1 million bond after he was charged with attempted murder, armed robbery and home invasion in the attack. Grosse Pointe Farms Police Lt. Richard Rosati testified at a March 11 hearing that Corzilius had said that he was upset with Clancy for allegedly trying to touch his rear end.

Corzilius’ preliminary examination has been scheduled for June 8.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Chas. Verheyden Funeral Home in Grosse Pointe Park.
