• Coast Guard calls off search for man who slipped of boat in Lake St. Clair (mlive.com) — A search has been called off for a Canadian man who slipped off a yacht near the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club on Lake St. Clair during windy, choppy conditions. Coast Guard and Wayne County marine crews searched from Saturday evening into Sunday before ending efforts, and authorities say they do not suspect foul play. 
• MIHSSCA boys soccer rankings for the week of Sept. 7, 2026 (theoaklandpress.com) — Two Grosse Pointe programs are among Michigan's top-ranked boys soccer teams this week, with Grosse Pointe North at No. 8 in Division 2 and University Liggett sitting No. 1 in Division 4.
