Grosse Pointe Farms poilce arrested a man at gunpoint this week after he nearly hit an officer with his truck and failed to follow commands. Two loaded weapons--a handgun and a rifle--were taken into evidence.

Woods Official Questions Wednesday's Power Outage

Grosse Pointe Woods City Administrator Al Fincham said Wednesday that he questions why one downed power line was enough to bring down the entire grid north and east of Mack and Vernier. It is among the many questions he's posing to DTE.

Update: Power to be Restored Within Hour

A DTE crew trimming a tree led to the power outage in Grosse Pointe Woods today. DTE officials contacted Grosse Pointe Woods shortly after 3 p.m. to say the power would be restored within an hour.
