'Stop Human Trafficking' Awareness Initiative Meeting

he Salvation Army of Metro Detroit is hosting an anti-human trafficking awareness meeting to develop local initiative

The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit is hosting an anti-human trafficking awareness meeting from 1-4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at The Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters, 16130 Northland Drive in Southfield.

The nonprofit organization is looking for active participants to engage in discussion to develop an anti-human trafficking initiative. Guest speakers Elyse Dobney from The Salvation Army of Chicago and Captain Tawny Cowen-Zanders of The Salvation Army of Toledo will lead the discussion, talk about successes of the STOP-IT initiatives in their communities, and what metro Detroit can do to combat this serious issue.
