World-renowned psycholinguists expert Liane Holliday Willey, Ed.D., and autism advocate Elaine Hall visit metro Detroit!
The popular Event: Metro Parent's Eighth Annual Living With Autism Workshop returns! Friday, April 24, 2015 to the Detroit Marriott.

Communication and the classroom: They’re two big hurdles for parents of kids with autism. A pair of remarkable experts offers pieces of the puzzle at Metro Parent and Henry Ford Health System’s eighth annual Living with Autism Workshop.
Two autism advocates deliver information – and inspiration. Liane Holliday Willey, Ed.D., the world-renown author and psycholinguists expert behind Aspie.com, delves into bridging the communication gap. Also an avid horsewoman and mom with a bright outlook and sense of humor, she offers a unique view as a person with Asperger’s. And Elaine Hall has put kids on the spectrum in the spotlight, literally, with theater/film program The Miracle Project. It was featured in the Emmy-winning documentary Autism: The Musical. Hall’s insight truly can create miracles in the classroom, too.
The duo joins a wealth of local resources for parents and teachers of children with autism. Attendees choose from various breakout sessions, which cover education, therapy, behavior and more. There’s also a chance to connect. Get information and advice from those working, coping and thriving with autism. Talk to session leaders, doctors, therapists and service providers. And chat with other parents and professionals during a continental breakfast (which starts at 7:30 a.m.) and lunch.
