The new count might overturn Mayor Adam Alharbi’s 11-vote win over challenger Muhith Mahmood, while a separate court fight over Mahmood’s residency could still determine who ultimately leads the city.

• Waymo begins fully autonomous driving in Detroit -- what to know (arcpublishing.com) — Waymo has begun fully driverless testing in Detroit and specifically names Hamtramck as one of the nearby neighborhoods where its autonomous vehicles will keep operating as it expands. For now, only company employees can ride, but the move signals that robotaxis could be serving Hamtramck residents once safety checks are complete and the service opens to the public.
