• Teen sues Wayne Co. after sexual assault at juvenile detention facility (detroitnews.com) — A teen is suing Wayne County and the state over sexual assaults that allegedly occurred when the juvenile detention facility was housed at the William Dickerson Detention Facility in Hamtramck. The lawsuit claims chronic understaffing and ignored warning signs created unsafe conditions for youths in custody, and follows several other reported assault incidents before operations moved to a new Detroit site.
