Hartland Area Youth Athletic Association Update

Executive Board:  HAYAA is an all volunteer organization. We do not exist without our volunteers.  There are more people than I can possible mention that make these programs work (Thank you to all that assist for all that you do).  I do want to mention a few key volunteers that have contributed countless hours to make sure our children have quality youth athletic programs and that will be stepping down from their current positions:

Mark and Nu Ehgotz (Co-Commissioners for Baseball/Softball)
Lia Treadway (Executive Board Vice President)
Tara Cowell (Executive Board Secretary) 

Football:  The Football Board is gearing up for another successful season.  Preparation starts months before the kids every step onto the field.  They are currently working on the Game Field and Auxiliary Field at the Little Big House.  They respectively request that everyone stay off the fields and allow maintenance they are doing to get done (i.e. give the grass some time to grow).

Basketball:  On-line registration opens in mid-July.  Please check the website for more info during that time.

Baseball/Softball:  Baseball/Softball just finished another successful season.  We’re looking to fill a number of board positions for the 2012 season.  Please contact Mark or Nu Ehgotz at negotz@gmail.com.  Below is our tentative schedule for tryouts for our travel baseball teams (time of day to be determined).  We will be posting a final schedule to our website in mid-July.

At Spranger Field

• U8:  8/7 & 8/21 (Field Field #1 on the 7th / Field #3 on the 21st )
• U9:  8/7 & 8/14(Field #4)
• U10: 8/14 & 8/21 (Field #1)
• U11: 8/14 & 8/21 (Field #2)
• U12: 8/7 & 8/14 (Field #3)

At

• U13 Returning players only need to attend one tryout date / new players should plan to attend both days:
  • U13 Blue 8/7
  • U13 Gold 7/31
• U14 7/31 & 8/7
