Nimble Needlers Say 'Good Morning, Hartland!'

1. The weather

Watch for clouds rolling in with a high of 42 degrees (Is this January?), according to the National Weather Service. Winds are expected to blow from the west southwest between 7 and 17 miles per hour with gusts as high as 24 mph. Tonight, temps should drop to about 29 as winds shift from out of the west at similar speeds.

3. Hartland school board meets

The Hartland Board of Education meets 6:30 p.m. Monday in the board room at the .

The agenda includes a presentation from Farms Intermediate School and a proposal to buy new buses. A PDF copy of the agenda is included with this article.

4. Hartland Area Community Council to discuss Memorial Day planning

The meets 6:30 p.m. Monday in the media center at the with an agenda that includes planning annual Memorial Day events.

The volunteer council — which welcomes newcomers — also will discuss Heritage Day, which is held every year in September.

5. Hartland trivia

Congrats to Linda Bowen for correctly answering —  What was John Tanner, who lived in Fenton, known for during Hartland's pioneering days? Tidbit: Something connected to what he did was purchased by the Henry Ford Museum. Answer: He ran a stagecoach, which is now owned by the Ford museum. (I'm not sure if it's on display).
