Web Designer is 2011 Hartland Patch Trivia Champ

Say congratulations to Linda Bowen if you see her around town.

The web developer/designer and mom of two is the 2011 Hartland Patch trivia champ.

Linda by far answered the most questions — 31 — since the feature started July 11 as part of "Good Morning Hartland" — a Monday through Friday article that includes a daily greeting, local fuel prices, the weather and Hartland trivia. Stefanie Furge was second with 14 correct answers and Jacqi Schaller was third with 13. There were more than 30 users who have successfully answered so far. (See table for the top 10 of 2011).

So, what's her secret? Linda credits good timing for so many right answers because she's online first thing in the morning when the story is posted (usually between 6-8 a.m.). And, of course, she loves trivia.

"Finding the answers often isn't the finishing point — for me answers often lead to more interesting facts that I did not know," she said in an email to Hartland Patch. "I love the Hartland Patch trivia especially because I'm not originally from this area and I enjoy learning about the place I now call home. I love Hartland and think it has a very rich, interesting history."

Linda and her husband came to Hartland in 2003 and they are originally from the Philadelphia/New Jersey area. They have two children — a son who is a sophomore at and an eighth-grade daughter at (who happened to answer ). Both children play club soccer while her son also plays for the high school team.

"My husband and I spend about 10 months of the year on the sidelines watching their games," she said. "We admit we are soccer nuts and when we are not watching the kids play, we're watching whatever games are being televised at the moment."

(I get it … No soccer questions to help everyone else. I promise).

Aside from this cool article hailing her achievement, we plan to give Linda some additional Patch goodies, soon.
