• Family of Haslett's ‘flag man' sues elder care home for wrongful death (bnd.com) — The family of Colin Campbell, a longtime Haslett resident known locally as the “flag man” for waving an American flag along Marsh Road, is suing Delta Retirement Center and others over his death from hypothermia after he left the facility unnoticed. The lawsuit alleges staff ignored door alarms, delayed searching and calling 911, and highlights broader concerns about oversight of elder-care homes in Michigan.
