Hillsdale County voters approve all ballot proposals Aug. 4 (hillsdale.net) — Hillsdale County voters have approved every local proposal on the August 3 ballot, including renewing the countywide E‑911 phone surcharge that funds emergency dispatch. Townships backed new or renewed millages for roads, bridges, and fire protection, while Litchfield and Waldron school districts and the North Adams library secured key operating and sinking fund renewals that will shape local services for years.

With seven regular-season home games starting September 5 against McKendree, residents will have plenty of chances to see a veteran Hillsdale squad try to outperform expectations.
   

4. Voter turnout across Mid-Michigan varied by county in Tuesday's primary (wilx.com) — Hillsdale County recorded one of Mid-Michigan’s lowest primary turnouts at 26.11%, even as some neighboring counties topped 35%. Local clerks say participation was still higher than in 2022 and expect Hillsdale-area voters to be more engaged for November’s general election.
