• Northern Michigan lakeshore, homes surrounded by water after flooding (kentucky.com) — Floodwaters from the Sturgeon River have surrounded homes in Indian River, especially along Grace Street and West Barbara Avenue, where residents are stacking sandbags to protect their properties. The flooding, driven by heavy rain and snowmelt across northern Lower Michigan, is expected to continue, with more rain forecast Friday night and a flood warning in effect through Saturday.
